Microsoft released Azure, an Internet Cloud Operating System. Now you can run your .NET applications on their data centers. There are already some introductionary videos on Channel9.
I wonder why they did not named it Sky.NET (Sky == Azure?).
Additionally they presented Oslo, which is a modeling environment, and I am especially curious if this will finally be able to deliver. Their DSL tools were impractical for implementing more complex requirements, not even hierarchies were possible.
Don’t miss the two hour movie Zeitgeist Addendum, it may open your eyes and tells you what’s wrong with us all. Be warned, this is the red pill.
Dean Kamen, the man behind one the coolest gadget ever invented, but nobody will buy, seems to have developed a Stirling Engine, which is a device that can directly transform heat to force. Here is the article about him.
I’ve installed Google Earth from Apple’s App Store on my IPod Touch. It immediately knew my location in the 10 to 20 meter range by scanning the WLANs available. At least google earth always asks me before sending the information.
I think you should be aware that WLAN now has a lot common with GPS.

Ha! They couldn’t possibly call it Sky.NET. Didn’t you see the Terminator movies? :)
Sure, I liked Terminator 2 the most!
... but fictional movie content may not be trademarked, or?
